Aim Danismanlik discusses machine translation versus human translation in this blog post. What I found interesting about this post is the notion of translation editors. I think that translation editors are the translation equivalent to content curators in the content development arena. The job tasks are vastly different. But, once again, instead of doing the work itself (creating the translation, creating the content), in the future, trained professionals will be fixing and augmenting the work of others – either other machines or other people.

I am always talking about a term: ‘translation editors’. In my opinion, today’s ‘translators’ will change into ‘translation editors’ considering the advances in machine translation.
